Smell the Roses

I visited Alnwick Gardens on this fine Sunday afternoon, it's set within the grounds of Alnwick Caste in Northumberland, the film locations of the Harry Potter films and the exterior of Hogwarts, also The last Knight, Robin Hood, Transformers and many more films, what a stunning place

I took in all the beautiful smells and sights, grabbed a tea and scone, lay in the sun whilst people watching 

I sat in the rose garden reading my book but couldn’t concentrate much as I kept looking around me, some things just hit differently when the sun is shining, it was so peaceful and I felt so grateful ! 

As I left there and finished up my day I couldn't help but think that I had a beautiful life today...
